The group’s goal was to spread awareness about plastics and trash in our oceans by selling stickers and metal straw sets designed by Haylie. The stickers were sold at $1 and $2. The metal straw sets were sold at $5 for two metal straws, a straw cleaner, and a bag. The group also partnered with SOLVE Organization to do a beach clean-up at Bob Straub State Park near Pacific City. Around 25 students volunteered to go with the group to the coast and engaged in the beach clean-up. Around seven of the SOLVE bags were filled with trash and they coordinated with the state park on where the trash would be picked up. They also collected around $100 profit and donated it to SOLVE.
