Truman was an electronic musician who organized a musical fundraiser that gathered donations for a local food shelf. He secured a venue, designed and printed tickets, rented sound equipment, created a laser show, and utilized social media for marketing. He used the concert to educate his fans about homelessness in their local community and donated the proceeds to a local food shelf. Truman’s project was motivated by care ethics, as he aimed to care for the health and well being of lower income families. This student said the project taught him that “helping my immediate community can be done by doing what I love.”
