Eric Harder, Bruno Gegenhuber, and Kendrall Stratton created and ran the Hiking and Biking Club at Pacific University. Starting the Hike/Bike club was an effort on their part to provide the Pacific University community with fun and educational events that promoted active lifestyles. They went through the multi-step process of founding a new club and the many hurdles that presented. They then planned and executed many successful events. In the months of March and April they conducted 2 club hikes, 1 club bike ride, a major camping trip to Cape Lookout State Park, a Bike Repair Clinic, and trash cleanup on trails at Hagg Lake. To accomplish this they used various forms of advertising and had to coordinate with many officials on campus as well as many students. They learned a lot from their experiences and also were able to enrich the lives of many other people in the process.
