With the money granted for a $20 Challenge Project, this group ignited a fundraiser. They put on a clothing drive on the St. Catherine University campus, donating the proceeds to Women’s Advocates, a women’s domestic abuse shelter in St. Paul. The $20 went towards advertisements and baking supplies to bake cookies, which group members swapped for clothes. The St. Catherine University community responded by donating over ten full garbage bags of quality clothes. The project also raised awareness of domestic violence and Women’s Advocates—many students and faculty stopped to read the group’s poster board. (Based on a summary by Bailey Knight.)
